EAS is a Cardiff and Halifax consultancy delivering AI, automation and custom platform work for UK businesses.
We build AI assistants, automate workflows, engineer cloud infrastructure and deliver bespoke platforms for clients that range from Lloyds Banking Group and Deutsche Bank to fast-growing SMEs. The same engineer might spend one quarter on a regulated banking pipeline and the next on a computer vision platform for architects.
Our approach is simple: listen first, then build. That applies as much to how we grow our own team as it does to how we work with clients.

Ownership
You own your work from design through to delivery. Not tickets handed down to you, but problems you see through and stand behind.
Questions, not guesswork
We expect you to ask. Asking early beats being stuck quietly, and nobody here reads it as a weakness.
Knowledge shared openly
Pair programming, code reviews, demonstrations and technical discussions. What you learn gets shared, and what the team learns comes back to you.
Straight feedback
Given and received in both directions, respectfully and without drama. Challenging an idea is part of the job.
Curiosity counts for more than a perfect CV
Whether you are just starting out or already have some hands-on experience, there is a route in. The exact role, mentoring path and starting salary depend on the position and where your skills are today.
A genuine interest in software development, DevOps, or AI and automation
Foundational coding experience in any language, plus a grasp of version control, testing, debugging and documentation
Curiosity, self-motivation, and a commitment to learning throughout your career
Ownership of your work, and the confidence to ask for help when you are stuck
Open communication and effective collaboration as part of a team
Comfort giving and receiving constructive feedback
Enjoyment in sharing what you know and learning from the people around you
An interest in solving real business problems, not only in writing code
We do not expect you to know everything. We would rather hire someone curious who enjoys solving problems than someone with a polished CV and no enthusiasm for the work.
Every trainee gets a dedicated mentor
Your mentor helps you plan your development, reviews your code, answers your questions and supports your progression. Asking questions is the expectation, not the exception. It is how people learn here.
You will work alongside experienced consultants and engineers through pair programming, code reviews, technical discussions and demonstrations. As your confidence grows, so does the responsibility: working directly with clients, delivering production systems, and solving real business problems across multiple industries.
Cloud platforms
AWS, Azure and GCP, from first console login to production workloads.
Containers and orchestration
Docker and Kubernetes, including how clusters behave under load.
Infrastructure as Code
Terraform and Ansible, so every environment change is versioned and reviewable.
CI/CD pipelines
Jenkins and modern equivalents, building the automation that ships the work.
Application development
Frontend, backend or full-stack, depending on the role you join in.
AI-assisted automation
Integration work and the assistants we build for clients like PingMe and Arcus.

Location
Based in our Cardiff studio at Beaufort Studio, Atlantic Wharf, CF10 4AH.
Travel
Occasional travel to client sites may be required.
